[ MacBooz 2.0 ]
Here is the Zoo archival program that several people have been asking
me about. This application, MacBooz, implements the features of Booz,
the "Bare-bones Zoo extracting program" written by Rahul Dhesi (also
the author of the original Zoo for MS-DOS, VAX VMS, and Unix).
Several people have ported Booz to the Mac before, but no one has
adapted it to use the Macintosh user interface. This application
includes the best of both worlds: Macintosh functionality and looks,
Unix features and utilities.
One feature worth pointing out is the wild-card selection ability.
Using a syntax matching what you would expect from a Unix system, you
can choose what files you would like to extract, without having to
shift-click on all of them.
I believe that the application is self-explanatory, but feel free to
contact me for questions or to recommend improvements.
Thanks to aron@garnet.berkeley.edu and rce10845@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu for
their help and input.
